May 23 2007, Phoenix, Arizona -

The Arizona Department of Health Services BEMS, held their second annual Megacode Olympics today. Agencies from around the state competed in four person teams to 'manage' a simulated megacode. The simulator was brought in by Airevac's PHIL unit and each code was monitored and graded by Arizona Emergency Physicians.

Teams from Prescot's Lifeline Ambulance, Sun City West Fire Department, Daisy Mountain Fire Department, Glendale Fire Department, PMT Ambulance and Southwest Ambulance participated. Sun City West were the title defenders from last year's competition.

And the winners are; Third place went to Daisy Mountain Fire Department, second place went to Sun City West Fire Department and the first place winners are------ Southwest Ambulance. The team was made up of; Jason Payne, Adam Lizzardi, Andy Baird and Dave Stockton.
